Sam Bradley

Sam Bradley has been in EMS for 30 years as a Paramedic, Clinical and Educational Services Coordinator, Regional Educator, preceptor, and ambulance company field supervisor.

Sam has taught Emergency Medical Technician Courses in the State Community College system for 25 years, and has a part time vocation as a freelance writer for EMS related journals, online publications and textbooks. She recently had a story published in an anthology of disaster stories, has completed a novel, and has recently started podcasting. She has done workshops for national EMS conferences, and is the Training Officer for the federal Disaster Medical Assistance Team, CA-6. Sam is also a Medical Team Leader for the state Wildland Fire Medical Support P rogram through the California Disaster Medical Services Association. She serves as the vice-chair for the Interstate Disaster Medical Services Cooperative and works as a QI and trauma consultant for NOR Cal EMS. Other roles include QI consultant and educator for Contra Costa County Fire Communications Center, and EMS educator, QI Consultant and Infection Control Officer for the East Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. She is the Special Program and Project Coordinator for Public Safety Training Group in Brentwood and is providing social media support for the TAK Response 2010 conference.

Scott Kier got his start in EMS at the young age of 15 as a Cadet on a small Volunteer EMS Service in New Jersey. Through his early experiences, he decided that EMS was his calling.

The desire to further his education led him to Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts. Scott obtained his Paramedic Certification in 2000, and in 2001, he graduated with a Degree in EMS Management and a minor in Business Management. For the last ten years, he has worked first as a Paramedic and more recently as a Field Supervisor in a large New England city.

Scott is also active on his County’s EMS Council, and is a Representative to his Regional Council. He also works Part Time as a Paramedic in the Safety Department of a large Theme Park in New England.

Jeremiah Bush, Paramedic Intern, EMT, American Heart Association Instructor, Author of Jeramedic.com, Industry and community advocate.

Jeremiah was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He began his career in Emergency Medicine in January 2006 
as an EMT working in Los Angeles County. 

In the summer of 2006 he began volunteering and training with the L.A.F.D Fire Explorers and in 2007 became an 
Instructor for the American Heart Association. In 2009 he attended Paramedic School in the San Francisco Bay area and 
volunteered as a educator and adviser for the USCF Medical Explorers. 

He will graduate with a degree in Allied Health and is considering a degree in education after that. Some of his goals are to
work in critical care flight medicine, becoming a clinical and public educator, and to help bring health care to a higher
standard of delivery and care. 

Currently he is a contributor and supporter of the EMS 2.0 movement, and is active in Social Media on issues of EMS 
and education.

Jake Schulke, MICP, NREMT-P, NAACS, is a paramedic practicing in Northern California, and has a broad range of experience in EMS. Jake has been a paramedic, EMT-basic, hospital emergency department technician, emergency dispatcher, air medical communications specialist, and an EMS educator. Jake has worked in EMS since 2003 in both urban and rural settings, and even in California’s Yosemite National Park. Jake is also a full-time college student, preparing himself to attend medical school.

Jake writes online first aid and safety articles for public education at Examiner.com and newly maintains a blog where he writes about a variety of topics.

Jamie Davis, RN, EMT-P, B.A., A.S., host of MedicCast & the Nursing Show is a nationally recognized medical educator who began educating new emergency responders as a training officer for his local EMS program.

Jamie speaks nationally on technology and education and is an advocate for integrating podcasting and media creation in schools at all levels. He has been invited to speak and MC at medical conferences and expos around the world.
